How Members Help
We are looking for a variety of support from our community, not just from experienced gardeners who are ready to get their hands dirty. We also need volunteers for website management, label and sign makers, teachers, database managers, bookkeepers, grant writers and artists. Additionally, your financial donations are welcome and appreciated. There is room for everyone at the table.
1. Become a member
Individual annual membership (Jan - Dec) is $35 per year. Family membership (2 adults plus children in one household) is $50 per year. Members contribute optional volunteer time to support the organization with their talents. There are no requirements for volunteer hours. Members receive discounts at local nurseries, enjoy garden fellowship, have access to field trips, and gain knowledge from expert speakers. Members’ children participate in youth workshops at decreased costs. Join in the last months of 2024, and your membership will be valid through December 31, 2025.
Become a member online by clicking the ‘purchase’ button below. OR download our PDF form to fill out and mail a check.
On Volunteerism by Betty Reese: “If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito.”
2. Donate
Your donation allows us to continue work where our volunteer time and talents require monetary support, such as plant propagation and purchases, signage, educational programs and artwork. Help us to extend our purchasing power with dollars for the important tasks ahead in the near future. Donations may be matched through your employer, and we are a registered nonprofit with Benevity.
We thank our nonprofit partners for generous grants:
Sammamish Friends for their donation of $850 in support of our herb beds.
Pine Lake Garden Club with a $1,000 grant for signage and perennial plants in the garden.
Pine Lake Garden Club for their contributions of $2,300 for a metal bench which includes a grant of $700 from the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs (WSFGC).
