There are many avid gardeners across the Northwest. In Sammamish we partner with the following environmental and historical nonprofit organizations, in addition to working with the City of Sammamish.


Partners

  • Sammamish Heritage Society. The society is committed to helping residents and visitors learn and understand about our rich past. They have been instrumental in relocating and restoring the Reard House in Big Rock Park Central.

  • Washington Native Plant Society, Central Puget Sound Chapter. The society is dedicated to educating communities and developing knowledge to protect and advocate for native plants and their habitats.

  • Sammamish Friends. Sammamish Friends is an umbrella nonprofit organization dedicated to helping other organizations (such as Sammamish Community Wildlife Habitat) in Sammamish that are committed to environmental stewardship and community involvement.

  • Pine Lake Garden Club. This organization in Sammamish has been active since 1943. Members gather monthly to learn and share horticultural information. They are a part of the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs, which is a subgroup of the National Garden Clubs, the largest garden organization in the world.

  • Puget Sound Dahlia Association. This organization is dedicated to growing, hybridizing, exhibiting and conducting research on dahlias in the Northwest region of the U.S. Puget Sound Dahlia Association is well known for its world-class publications on dahlia culture including Dahlias of Today (annual publication) and Dahlias: A Monthly Guide. They will be stewarding the dahlia bed in the Heritage Garden.
